Hi there. This is my website!
I have a passion for story, whether it be literary or journalistic. This website will serve as a hub for my creative and professional work.
To gain journalistic and literary experience, I have written for Fools Magazine and the Daily Iowan and have been published in print and web. My focus is in arts and culture. I have interned for Little Village Magazine in editorial. Creatively, I have published poetry in Fools Mag, and served as a fiction editor for earthwords: The Undergraduate Literary Review. As a volunteer, I supported Iowa City’s nonprofit art-house theater, FilmScene, as well as it’s partner organization, the Bijou Film Board. For Bijou, I served as a forum moderator, social media liaison, and radio host, all to discuss conversation-starting films. I currently serve as the Associate Fiction Editor for Brink Literary Journal.
I enjoy reading historical fiction, watching cult classic cinema, and roller skating when I can. I am an avid fan of folks of color in R&B, and enjoy jamming out with friends!
Without further ado, welcome to my website! I hope you enjoy experiencing my journey whether you’ve been on the wagon from the get-go, or from whichever stop along the way you’ve joined me. Thank you.
